Bio Header

Hello, I'm Tim. My family comes from a long line of musicians, going back hundreds of years. When I was growing up, we had all kinds of instruments laying around the house. Most of these went unused or abused, one of which was a drumset my father got when I was 4. It sat unplayed for years, cymbals long smashed to bits by myself and my three brothers. It sat gathering dust until around 1989. It's then that I started to play drums. My brother and father had a gig over at a hotel here and I was invited to join their duo and learn to play drums on the job. I started out with a snare and some brushes. Later on, a cymbal and hi-hat were added and then of course a full set of drums. I have played drums ever since.

When I got out of high school, I started picking up piano, just fooling around on it, making up my own songs. It started out very simple and I have managed to expand from there. I feel like I am in a place now with piano that it is good enough to showcase some talent, but I would never hold up as a musician in the jazz world, mainly for my lack of knowledge. Currently, and this could change, my knowledge is limited to what I have figured out on piano, so I don't know any songs other than my own, which simply would not work on a regular jazz gig with standards being called out and an expectation to play them.

I created this site to make money with my music, hopefully I can get to a place where I can be free of the office world and truly do something I love to do. If you enjoy the music please let me know, please tell your friends, co-workers, acquaintances, clients and anyone else! I could use your help in spreading the word. So enjoy the music, hopefully it will either send you to another place, relax you, put the mind into a groove, or all of the above.

Thank you!
